Abstract:
Device (10) for through-flow of a fluid, comprising a fluid inlet (12) and a fluid outlet (13), and a porous structure (15) with interconnected pores arranged between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The fluid inlet and the fluid outlet define an overall flow direction (14). The porous structure is coupled to a wall (111) to provide for heat conduction between the porous structure and the wall, and comprises a porosity gradient along a first direction (17) which is cross to the overall flow direction. The porosity gradient develops along the first direction between a first porosity (P3) at a first location (158) proximal to the wall and a second porosity (P1) larger than the first porosity at a second location (156) remote from the wall, the difference between the second porosity and the first porosity being at least 4%.
