Abstract:
(EN) There is provided a method for determining that an object has been observed by a user, said object being rendered in a virtual reality or augmented reality graphical environment provided to a user with a head-mounted device, the method comprising the steps of: a) determining the angle α between the horizontal direction of observation of the user in the computer generated graphical environment and a horizontal direction from the point of observation of the user to a predefined point on the object or determining the angle β between a vertical plane that is defined by the direction of observation 12 and a vertical plane that is perpendicular to the flat surface of the object, and b )using the angle α or the angle β to determine if the object has been observed by the user. There is also provided a system.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé pour déterminer qu'un objet a été observé par un utilisateur, ledit objet étant rendu dans un environnement graphique de réalité virtuelle ou de réalité augmentée fourni à un utilisateur avec un visiocasque, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : a) déterminer l'angle α entre la direction horizontale d'observation de l'utilisateur dans l'environnement graphique généré par ordinateur et une direction horizontale à partir du point d'observation de l'utilisateur jusqu'à un point prédéfini sur l'objet ou déterminer l'angle β entre un plan vertical qui est défini par la direction d'observation 12 et un plan vertical qui est perpendiculaire à la surface plate de l'objet, et b ) utiliser l'angle α ou l'angle β pour déterminer si l'objet a été observé par l'utilisateur. La présente invention concerne également un système.
