Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for compensating for excessively low actuating dynamics of a mechanical brake (11) of a motor vehicle (10), wherein a dividing unit (23) receives a predefinition for a target overall retardation (20) of the motor vehicle (10), and, depending on the target overall retardation (20), determines a mechanical target braking torque (24) and signals the same to the mechanical brake (11). According to the invention, the dividing unit (23) predicts a mechanical actual braking torque (28) of the brake (11) by means of a model (27) of the brake actuator (22) and, depending on the predicted mechanical actual braking torque (28), by activating at least one predetermined vehicle component (13) that is different from the mechanical brake (11), to generate a compensation torque (31), by means of which a control deviation (38) which results when adjusting the mechanical actual braking torque to the mechanical target braking torque (24) is compensated and therefore, overall, the target overall retardation (20) results in the motor vehicle (10).
