Abstract:
The theoretical efficiency of the current reciprocating piston engine is virtually halved because of the multifarious losses of the reciprocating piston, due to the detrimental movement function of the piston. The invention relates to an engine having a suitable piston movement, the operation and compression of which are carried out four times more quickly at the same rotational speed using known engines. Consequently, the heat losses of said engine decrease. The gas exchange is prolonged by 1.5 times. In the pull-crank drive engine, cf. Fig. 1, the piston (2) is coupled to the engine crank (5) by bolt (4), connecting rod (3), and link (7), and the connecting rod-link joint (3-7) is guided in circulation by the pull-crank shaft (6) counter to the direction of rotation of the engine crankshaft. As compared with an analogous conventional engine, the pull-crank drive engine has a better inefficiency and output; in a spark-ignition design with ε = 10:1, the efficiency is higher by 60-87%, the peak output higher by 2.26-2.63 times; in a diesel design with ε = 22:1, the efficiency is higher by 47-64%, the peak output higher by 2.07-2.31 times. The CO2 emissions decrease proportionally to the consumption, while the NOx emissions decrease disproportionately: by 10 to 15 times.
