Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device. A liquid crystal panel (100) of the liquid crystal display device comprises a first substrate (200) and a second substrate (300) disposed opposite to each other vertically, a liquid crystal layer (400), and a third substrate (500) disposed on the side of the first substrate (200) distant from the liquid crystal layer (400), or on the side of the second substrate (300) distant from the liquid crystal layer (400). The first substrate (200) comprises a first substrate base (210) and an upper polarizer (220) disposed on the first substrate base (210); the second substrate (300) comprises a second substrate base (310) and a lower polarizer (320) disposed on the second substrate base (310); the third substrate (500) comprises a third substrate base (510) and a quantum dot color filter (520) disposed on the third substrate base (510). By disposing the quantum dot color filter (520) on the third substrate base (510) outside the first and second substrate bases (210, 310) on which the upper and lower polarizers (220, 320) are located, on the premise that quantum dots do not change the polarization state of light in the panel, the present invention can avoid using a complex polarizer built-in process, and can guarantee the advantage of the quantum dot color filter (520), so that the liquid crystal display device has a broader color gamut and higher brightness, and a manufacturing method is simple.
