Abstract:
(EN) The invention pertains to a process for preparing hydroxyethylethyleneamines, ethyleneamines, or mixtures thereof, and/or ethylene urea derivatives thereof comprising the step of reacting diethanolamine with an amine-functional compound comprising at least two –NH-units of which at least one is selected from the group of primary amine groups and cyclic secondary amine groups, the amine-functional compound comprising at least one –NH-CH2-CH2-NH-unit wherein one or more -NH- CH2-CH2-NH-units in the amine-functional compound may be present in the form of cyclic ethylene urea moieties, piperazine moieties, or linear ethylene urea moieties, in the presence of a carbon oxide delivering agent, wherein -the molar ratio of amine-functional compound to diethanolamine is at least 0.2:1, and -the molar ratio of carbon oxide delivering agent to –NH-CH2-CH2-NH-units in the amine-functional compound is at least 0.1:1. The invention makes it possible to obtain higher hydroxyethylethyleneamines, ethyleneamines, or mixtures thereof, and/or ethylene urea derivatives thereof from diethanolamine, which is an attractive starting material.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'hydroxyéthyléthylèneamines d'éthylèneamines, ou de mélanges de celles-ci, et/ou de dérivés d'éthylène-urée de celles-ci comprenant l'étape consistant à faire réagir du diéthanolamine avec un composé à fonction amine comprenant au moins deux unités -NH- dont au moins un est choisi dans le groupe des groupes amine primaires et des groupes amine secondaires cycliques, le composé à fonction amine comprenant au moins une unité -NH-CH2-CH2-NH-, une ou plusieurs unités -NH-CH2-CH2-NH- dans le composé à fonction amine pouvant être présentes sous forme de fractions d'éthylène-urée cycliques ou de fractions de pipérazine, ou de fractions d'éthylène-urée linéaires en présence d'un agent de distribution d'oxyde de carbone, le rapport molaire du composé à fonction amine au diéthanolamine étant d'au moins 0,2 : 1 et le rapport molaire de l'agent de distribution d'oxyde de carbone à l'unité –NH-CH2-CH2-NH- dans le composé à fonction amine est d'au moins 0,1 : 1. L'invention permet d'obtenir de meilleures hydroxyéthyléthylèneamines, éthylèneamines, ou des mélanges de celles-ci, et/ou des dérivés d'éthylène-urée de celles-ci à partir de diéthanolamine, qui est un matériau de départ intéressant.
