Abstract:
The present invention relates to a gas diffusion electrode comprising a metal M selected from Ag, Au, Cu, Pd and mixtures and/or alloys and/or salts thereof and at least one binder, wherein the gas diffusion electrode comprises hydrophilic and hydrophobic pores and/or channels, wherein the pores and/or channels of the gas diffusion electrode at least partly contain an ion transport material and/or the surface of the gas diffusion electrode at least partly has an ion transport material applied thereto, to a process for the production thereof, to the use thereof in the reduction of CO2 and/or CO and to an electrolysis cell and electrolysis plant each containing this gas diffusion electrode.
