Abstract:
(EN) A spread spectrum system is used for transmitting data to devices in a distributed system. Each device (202) has a respective spread spectrum code (53, 57), and has a corresponding encoder in a central control system operating the same spread spectrum codes, the encoded data relating to the devices being aggregated over a shared channel. An additional broadcast spread spectrum coding sequence is allocated to a broadcast channel readable by a plurality of the devices using a command extraction function (757,758, 759) and used to transmit general commands for operation by the plurality of devices. Individual actuators may be arranged to respond in different ways to such a broadcast command, for example switching some on and switching others off. The broadcast may also be used to change the coding sequences (52, 53) allocated to individual devices, for example to cause devices to switch between idle, duplex, transmit-only and receive-only modes, allowing flexible use of the available spread-spectrum coding sequences.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système à spectre étalé utilisé pour transmettre des données à des dispositifs dans un système distribué. Chaque dispositif (202) a un code à spectre étalé respectif (53, 57), et un codeur correspondant dans un système de commande central exploitant les mêmes codes à spectre étalé, les données codées relatives aux dispositifs étant agrégées sur un canal partagé. Une séquence de codage à spectre étalé de diffusion supplémentaire est attribuée à un canal de diffusion lisible par une pluralité de dispositifs à l'aide d'une fonction d'extraction de commande (757, 758, 759) et utilisée pour transmettre des instructions générales pour un fonctionnement par la pluralité de dispositifs.
