Title: METHOD FOR DETERMINING SIZE OF AND SPACING OF ARTIFICIAL ORE PILLARS FOR ROOM MINING PILLAR RECOVERY
Abstract:
A method for determining size of and spacing of artificial ore pillars for room mining pillar recovery, comprising: dividing, in a room mining pillar recovery process, a process of supporting a roof with room mining pillars into a stage in which the roof is supported with artificial ore pillars independently, and a combined supporting stage in which the artificial ore pillars cooperate with solid filling materials; and separately building, for supporting characteristics of the two stages, a mechanical model of the artificial ore pillars and the roof according to the force equilibrium principle and a winkler foundation model to obtain the stress status of the artificial ore pillars. According to the criterion that the load of the artificial ore pillars shall be smaller than the allowable stress [σ1] thereof, the relations between the allowable stress of the artificial ore pillars and the size a×a of the artificial ore pillars as well as the spacing l of the artificial ore pillars in the two supporting stages are obtained, and a graph showing the relation between the size and spacing of the artificial ore pillars in different stages is obtained from the relations above. Finally, the size and spacing of the artificial ore pillars are comprehensively determined. The method is simple and easy to implement, and has high accuracy and an important influence on the development of the basic theory of safe mining of room mining pillars in China.
