Abstract:
Disclosed is a waterproof structure of an external rotor electric motor, the external rotor motor comprising a rotary shaft (1), a stator assembly (2), an external rotor (3) and a base (4), wherein the stator assembly (2) is installed with and connected to the base (4); a sleeve seat (5) is installed within a central hole (21) of the stator assembly (2); a bearing chamber (51) is disposed in the sleeve seat (5), and a bearing (52) is installed within the bearing chamber (51); the rotary shaft (1) is supported on the bearing (52) and is installed and connected to the external rotor (3); the external rotor (3) is sheathed outside the stator assembly (2), and an annular clearance slot (31) is disposed on the end surface of the external rotor (3); an annular groove (41) is disposed on the base (4) under the clearance slot (31); a water retaining ring (6) is installed within the annular groove (41); the water retaining ring (6) warps upwards inwardly to form an internal water baffle (61); the top of the internal water baffle (61) extends into the annular clearance slot (31); the water retaining ring (6) comprises the internal water baffle (61), an external water baffle (62), and a bottom plate (63) connecting the internal water baffle (61) with the external water baffle (62); a water storage groove (64) is formed between the internal water baffle (61), the external water baffle (62) and the bottom plate (63); and the internal water baffle (61) is higher than the external water baffle (62), and the inner water baffle (61) is oblique and bent outwards. When rain enters the water retaining ring (6), the internal water baffle (61) can prevent the rain from entering the interior of the electric motor, thus protecting the electric motor and prolonging the lifespan of the electric motor, and the electric motor has a simple structure and is easy to assemble.
