Abstract:
(EN) A method for beam therapy is provided. The method includes receiving first data indicating a plurality of target volumes within a target region inside a subject for particle beam therapy relative to a particle beam outlet on a gantry for directing a particle beam from a particle beam source. The method further includes moving automatically, one or more energy modulator components to reduce an energy of the particle beam and deliver the particle beam to the target region such that a Bragg Peak is delivered to at least one target volume of the plurality of target volumes. The method further includes repeating the moving automatically as the particle beam source rotates with the gantry around the subject, without changing the energy of the particle beam at the particle beam outlet, until every target volume is subjected to a Bragg Peak.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un procédé de thérapie par faisceau. Le procédé comprend la réception de premières données indiquant une pluralité de volumes cibles dans une région cible à l'intérieur d'un sujet pour une thérapie par faisceau de particules par rapport à une sortie de faisceau de particules sur un portique pour diriger un faisceau de particules à partir d'une source de faisceau de particules. Le procédé consiste en outre le déplacement automatique d'un ou de plusieurs composants de modulateur d'énergie pour réduire l'énergie du faisceau de particules et délivrer le faisceau de particules à la région cible de telle sorte qu'un pic de Bragg est délivré à au moins un volume cible de la pluralité de volumes cibles. Le procédé consiste en outre à répéter le déplacement automatique lorsque la source de faisceau de particules tourne avec le portique autour du sujet, sans changer l'énergie du faisceau de particules au niveau de la sortie de faisceau de particules, jusqu'à ce que chaque volume cible soit soumis à un pic de Bragg.
