Abstract:
A combination of a windmill installation and a manipulator for handling a part of the windmill installation, particularly but not exclusively a rotor blade, which manipulator is mountable or mounted on an upstanding mast of the windmill installation. The manipulator is a robot dedicated for handling a rotor blade or a crane for handling ancillary equipment to be mounted in or retrieved from a nacelle of the windmill installation. The manipulator has releasable clamps fitting around the upstanding mast of the windmill installation, and the upstanding mast of the windmill installation is provided with attachment means for a suspension wire or suspension wires. The suspension wire or suspension wires connect to a winch or winches of the manipulator.
