Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to a carbon-sulfur complex comprising carbon aggregates and sulfur, a method for producing the same, a cathode and a lithium-sulfur battery comprising the same. When the carbon-sulfur complex of a hierarchical pore structure, according to the present invention, is used as a cathode material of a lithium-sulfur battery, the specific surface area is increased due to the hierarchical pore structure including macropores, such that an electron transfer path is secured and electron conductivity is enhanced, thereby enhancing electrode capacity. In addition, since sulfur as a cathode active material is uniformly supported and also a contact area of sulfur is expanded, even at high loading per unit area, separation of carbon and sulfur does not occur even when an electrolyte causes the sulfur to swell. As a result, sulfur can be prevented from leaking into the electrolyte, and electrode stability and performance of the battery can be improved. Also, there are advantages in that, when producing the carbon-sulfur complex, it is easy to control pore size in a single step through a spray drying method, and it is possible to simply mass-produce the carbon-sulfur complex.
