Abstract:
This beam joint structure comprises first and second support members that mutually form a pair, a beam bridging the gap between the first support member and the second support member, and a reinforcement member disposed so as to project from the first support member toward the second support member. The projection distance x of the reinforcement member from a virtual plane, which is perpendicular to the material axis direction of the beam and includes a first joint part, is no less than a first distance and no more than a second distance. The first distance is the distance from the first joint part to an inflection point at which the bending moment distribution of the beam changes from a negative bend to a positive bend when a two-point concentrated load is acting on the beam, and the second distance is the distance from the first joint part to an inflection point at which the bending moment distribution of a reference beam changes from a negative bend to a positive bend when the two-point concentrated load is acting on the reference beam.
