Abstract:
(EN) This solid-state imaging device is provided with an AD conversion unit (40) for each row. The AD conversion unit (40) uses a first comparator (404) to narrow, bay way of a binary search, the range in which the voltage of an analog signal is included, to a voltage range corresponding to the difference between a first voltage (V1) and a second voltage (V2), performs first AD conversion for generating a first digital signal, i.e. a high-order part of a digital signal, on the basis of the result of the binary search, and performs second AD conversion for generating a second digital signal, i.e. the remaining low-order part of the digital signal, by measuring the time until the output of a second comparator (405) is inverted, on the basis of a ramp signal (Vramp) and the result of the binary search.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif d'imagerie à semi-conducteurs pourvu d'une unité de conversion A/N (40) pour chaque ligne. L'unité de conversion A/N (40) utilise un premier comparateur (404) pour rétrécir, au moyen d'une recherche binaire, la plage dans laquelle est incluse la tension d'un signal analogique, à une plage de tensions correspondant à la différence entre une première tension (V1) et une deuxième tension (V2), effectue une première conversion A/N pour générer un premier signal numérique, c'est-à-dire une partie d'ordre élevé d'un signal numérique, sur la base du résultat de la recherche binaire, et effectue une deuxième conversion A/N pour générer un deuxième signal numérique, c'est-à-dire la partie restante d'ordre faible du signal numérique, en mesurant le temps jusqu'à l'inversion de la sortie d'un deuxième comparateur (405), sur la base d'un signal de rampe (Vrampe) et du résultat de la recherche binaire.
(JA) 固体撮像装置は、列毎のAD変換部(40)を備え、AD変換部(40)は、第1の比較器(404)を用いて、アナログ信号の電位が含まれる範囲を二分探索により第1の電位(V)と第2の電位(V)の差分に応じた電位の範囲に絞り込み、更に、二分探索の結果に基づいてデジタル信号の上位側部分である第1のデジタル信号を生成する第1のAD変換を行い、ランプ信号(Vramp)および二分探索の結果に基づいて、第2の比較器(405)の出力が反転するまでの時間を計測することで、デジタル信号の残りの下位側部分である第2のデジタル信号を生成する第2のAD変換を行う。
