Title: POSITIVE ELECTRODE ACTIVE MATERIAL AND BATTERY
Abstract:
This positive electrode active material contains a lithium composite oxide; and the lithium composite oxide is a multiphase mixture which comprises a first phase that has a crystal structure belonging to the space group Fm-3m and a second phase that has a crystal structure belonging to a space group other than the space group Fm-3m. In the XRD pattern of the lithium composite oxide, the integrated intensity ratio of the first maximum peak that exists within the diffraction angle (2θ) range of from 18° to 20° (inclusive) to the second maximum peak that exists within the diffraction angle (2θ) range of from 43° to 46° (inclusive), namely, I(18°-20°)/I(43°-46°) satisfies 0.05 ≤ I(18°-20°)/I(43°-46°) ≤ 0.90.
