Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to ensure that a driver has adequate time to prepare when switching from self-driving mode to manual driving mode, even if a change in driver occurs, and this invention adopts the following measures to achieve this purpose. That is to say, during an operation control period in self-driving mode, a preparatory period control unit (613) sets and counts a first preparatory period if the driver is deemed to be in a state in which he or she is capable of driving operation in manual driving mode, and a preparatory period information generating unit (614) generates first preparatory period information for notifying the driver of the time remaining in a first preparatory period. A driver state assessment unit (612) assesses whether a change in driver has occurred in the first preparatory period, and if a change is deemed to have occurred, the preparatory period control unit sets and counts a second preparatory period, and the preparatory period information generating unit generates second preparatory period information for notifying the time remaining in the second preparatory period.
