Abstract:
(EN) A few mode optical fiber comprises an optical core and an optical cladding surrounding the optical core. The FM F has a step-index profile. The optical core has a core outer radius R1 > 7.5μm and a core refractive index difference Δη1 such that 14.5x 10-3 < Δη1 < 24x 10-3. The optical cladding comprises: - an index ring with: o a ring inner radius Rr1 between 12μm and 19μm; o a ring refractive index difference Δη1 such that Δη1 / Δηr between 2 and 4; o a ring volume Vring =πΔηr (Rr22— Rr12) between 1.8μm2 and 4.1μm2 where Rr2 is the ring outer radius; an inner cladding between the optical core and the index ring, with an inner cladding inner radius Ri1 and an inner cladding outer radius Ri2, the inner cladding having an inner cladding refractive index difference Δηclad1 between—1.0x10-3 and 1.0x10-3.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une fibre optique à peu de modes, comprenant un cœur optique et une gaine optique entourant ce dernier. La FM F possède un profil à saut d'indice. Le cœur optique présente un rayon externe de cœur R 1 > 7,5μm et une différence d'indice de réfraction de cœur Δη 1 telle que 14,5x 10-3 < Δη 1 < 24x 10-3. La gaine optique comprend : un anneau d'indice comprenant un rayon interne d'anneau Rr 1 entre 12μm et 19μm, une différence d'indice de réfraction d'anneau Δη 1 telle que Δη 1 / Δη r entre 2 et 4, un volume d'anneau V ring =πΔη r (Rr 2 2— Rr 1 2) entre 1,8μm 2 et 4.1μm 2, Rr 2 étant le rayon externe de l'anneau ; une gaine interne entre le cœur optique et l'anneau d'indice, ayant un rayon interne de gaine interne R i 1 et un rayon externe de gaine interne R i 2, la gaine interne ayant une différence d'indice de réfraction de gaine interne Δη clad 1 entre —1.0x10-3 et 1.0x10-3.
