Abstract:
(EN) There is presented a gully sensor for deployment within, and detecting the presence of matter contained in, a gully. The gully sensor may be arranged to detect when the gully has become blocked, and may further be arranged to notify an external party of such an event. The gully sensor may comprise an elongate body, the body further comprising a first portion which accommodates a light source and a second portion which accommodates a light detector for detecting light emitted from the light source along a light path towards the detector. The gully sensor may further comprise a cross section that is orientated along at least a portion of the light path shaped to allow the matter to intersect at least a portion of the light path, and which joins the first and second portions via the elongate body.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un capteur de puisard destiné à être déployé à l'intérieur d'un puisard, et à détecter la présence de matière contenue dans celui-ci. Le capteur de puisard peut être déposé de manière à détecter quand le puisard s'est bloqué, et peut également être disposé de manière à avertir une partie externe d'un tel événement. Le capteur de puisard peut comprendre un corps allongé, le corps comprenant en outre une première partie qui reçoit une source de lumière et une seconde partie qui loge un détecteur de lumière pour détecter la lumière émise par la source de lumière le long d'un trajet de lumière vers le détecteur. Le capteur de puisard peut en outre comprendre une section transversale qui est orientée le long d'au moins une partie du trajet de lumière formée pour permettre à la matière de couper au moins une partie du trajet de lumière, et qui relie les première et seconde parties par l'intermédiaire du corps allongé.
