Abstract:
(EN) There is described a method for the preparation of an aqueous magnetic resonance imaging medium, said method comprising the steps of: • (i) preparing a multiphasic solvent system comprising an aqueous component and a non-aqueous component, said solvent comprising a target substrate and a SABRE hyperpolarisation transfer catalyst; • (ii) adding H 2 or parahydrogen gas; • (iii) agitating the solvent system to form an emulsion thereby transferring the spin order from the hyperpolarisation transfer catalyst to the target substrate; • (v) adding a solvent phase-separation promoter; and • (vi) separating the non-aqueous component and the aqueous component wherein the aqueous component contains the hyperpolarised target substrate and provides the aqueous magnetic resonance imaging medium.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un milieu d'imagerie aqueux, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes (i) préparation d'un système de solvant multiphasique comprenant un composant aqueux et un composant non aqueux, ledit solvant comprenant un substrat cible et un catalyseur de transfert d'hyperpolarisation; (ii) ajout de H2 ou de gaz parahydrogène; (iii) agitation du système de solvant pour former une émulsion, ce qui permet de transférer l'ordre de spin du catalyseur de transfert d'hyperpolarisation au substrat cible; (v) ajout d'un promoteur de séparation de phase de solvant; et (vi) séparation du composant non aqueux et du composant aqueux, le composant aqueux contenant le substrat cible hyperpolarisé et fournissant un support d'imagerie aqueux.
