Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for building a virtual three-dimensional model of a real filament network including real nodes and real filaments connecting said nodes, said virtual model including virtual nodes each representing a real node and virtual filaments each representing a real filament, said method including the operations of: providing a raw three-dimensional image of the real filament network, consisting of a plurality of pixels or voxels; extracting from the raw three-dimensional image a three-dimensional cluster of singular points, said cluster including virtual nodes and virtual false nodes; building a primary three-dimensional network including the cluster of singular points and connections between at least part of the singular points, said primary network including virtual filaments and false virtual filaments and building the virtual three-dimensional model by removing the virtual false filaments and the virtual false nodes from the primary network.
