Abstract:
(EN) Methods are disclosed for reducing the proliferation of a tumor cell, increasing apoptosis of a tumor cell, and/or decreasing migration of a tumor cell. These methods include contacting the tumor cell with an effective amount of solubilized ECM or a soluble fraction of extracellular matrix (ECM), thereby reducing the proliferation of the tumor cell, increasing apoptosis of the tumor cell, and/or decreasing migration of the tumor cell. Methods are also disclosed for treating a subject with a tumor. The methods include administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising a soluble fraction of an ECM and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, thereby treating the tumor in the subject. In specific non-limiting examples, the tumor is a glioma and/or the ECM hydrogel is a urinary bladder ECM hydrogel.
(FR) L'invention concerne des méthodes permettant de réduire la prolifération d'une cellule tumorale, d’augmenter l'apoptose d'une cellule tumorale, et/ou de diminuer la migration d'une cellule tumorale. Ces méthodes comprennent la mise en contact de la cellule tumorale avec une quantité efficace de MEC solubilisée ou d'une fraction soluble de matrice extracellulaire (MEC), ce qui permet de réduire la prolifération de la cellule tumorale, d'augmenter l'apoptose de la cellule tumorale, et/ou de diminuer la migration de la cellule tumorale. L'invention concerne également des méthodes de traitement d'un sujet porteur d'une tumeur. Les méthodes comprennent l'administration au sujet d'une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'une composition pharmaceutique comprenant une fraction soluble d'une MEC et un support pharmaceutiquement acceptable, ce qui permet de traiter la tumeur chez le sujet. Dans des exemples non limitatifs spécifiques, la tumeur est un gliome et/ou l'hydrogel de MEC est un hydrogel de MEC de vessie urinaire.
