Abstract:
(EN) Systems and methods for extending black-start availability using energy storage systems can be provided. In one example implementation, a method includes detecting, by one or more controllers, a disconnection of the power system from a power grid; obtaining, by the one or more controllers, data indicative of the amount of energy present in a first energy storage system; obtaining, by the one or more controllers, data indicative of an amount of energy associated with powering one or more loads coupled to the power system; and determining, by the one or more controllers, to activate the auxiliary power source based at least in part on the amount of energy present in the first energy storage system and the amount of energy associated with powering the one or more loads.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés d'extension de la disponibilité d'un démarrage autonome à l'aide de systèmes de stockage d'énergie. Dans un exemple de mise en oeuvre, un procédé comprend la détection, par un ou plusieurs dispositifs de commande, d'une déconnexion d'un système d'alimentation d'un réseau électrique; l'obtention, par le ou les dispositifs de commande, de données indiquant la quantité d'énergie présente dans un premier système de stockage d'énergie; l'obtention, par le ou les dispositifs de commande, de données indiquant une quantité d'énergie associée à l'alimentation d'une ou de plusieurs charges couplées au système d'alimentation; et la détermination, par le ou les dispositifs de commande, qu'il faut activer une source d'alimentation auxiliaire sur la base, au moins en partie, de la quantité d'énergie présente dans le premier système de stockage d'énergie et de la quantité d'énergie associée à l'alimentation de la charge ou des charges.
