Abstract:
(EN) Distributed MIMO communication utilizes multiple access points within a cluster. Methods and systems for access point discovery provide for formation of a cluster to support the distributed MIMO communication. In one aspect, a method includes generating, by a first access point, a first message indicating the first access point has distributed MIMO capability and transmitting, by the first access point, the first message on a wireless network. The method further includes receiving, by the first access point, a second message from a second access point, the second message identifying a cluster and determining, by the first access point, to participate in the identified cluster in response to the second message.
(FR) Une communication MIMO distribuée utilise de multiples points d'accès dans un groupe. Des procédés et des systèmes de découverte de points d'accès permettent la formation d'un groupe de façon à prendre en charge la communication MIMO distribuée. Selon un aspect, un procédé comprend les étapes au cours desquelles un premier point d'accès : génère un premier message indiquant que le premier point d'accès a une capacité MIMO distribuée ; transmet le premier message sur un réseau sans fil ; reçoit un second message provenant d'un second point d'accès, le second message identifiant un groupe ; et détermine de participer au groupe identifié en réponse au second message.
