Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to a viewing angle controllable display device. The viewing angle controllable display device comprises: a display panel; a polarization switching unit which is configured so as to be able to switch the polarization direction of incident light and is mounted on the front surface of the display panel; and a polarization-dependent prism array film which is configured so as for the turning on/off of a prism function to be controlled according to the polarization direction of the incident light and is mounted on the front surface of the polarization switching unit, thereby allowing the viewing angle distribution of the display panel to be controlled. When the prism function of the polarization-dependent prism array film is turned on or off according to the polarization direction of the incident light, the display device operates in a narrow viewing angle mode based on the viewing angle of a directional back light unit constituting the display panel, or operates in a wide viewing angle mode by the polarization-dependent prism array film, in accordance with the turning on/off of the prism function. As a result of stacking the polarization-dependent prism array film on the front surface of the display panel, such as an OLED panel or an LC panel comprising a directional BLU, the viewing angle controllable display device according to the present invention allows the viewing angle distribution of the display panel to be controlled without the loss of light efficiency.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage à angle de vision commandable. Le dispositif d'affichage à angle de vision commandable comporte: un panneau d'affichage; une unité de commutation de polarisation qui est configurée de façon à pouvoir commuter la direction de polarisation d'une lumière incidente et est montée sur la surface avant du panneau d'affichage; et un film à réseau de prismes dépendant de la polarisation qui est configuré de telle façon que l'activation/la désactivation d'une fonction de prisme soit commandée en fonction de la direction de polarisation de la lumière incidente et est monté sur la surface avant de l'unité de commutation de polarisation, permettant ainsi de commander la répartition d'angle de vision du panneau d'affichage. Lorsque la fonction de prisme du film à réseau de prismes dépendant de la polarisation est activée ou désactivée en fonction de la direction de polarisation de la lumière incidente, le dispositif d'affichage fonctionne dans un mode d'angle de vision étroit d'après l'angle de vision d'une unité de rétro éclairage directionnel constituant le panneau d'affichage, ou fonctionne dans un mode d'angle de vision large au moyen du film à réseau de prismes dépendant de la polarisation, selon l'activation/la désactivation de la fonction de prisme. Du fait de l'empilement du film à réseau de prismes dépendant de la polarisation sur la surface avant du panneau d'affichage, tel qu'un panneau OLED ou un panneau LC comportant une BLU directionnelle, le dispositif d'affichage à angle de vision commandable selon la présente invention permet de commander la répartition d'angle de vision du panneau d'affichage sans perte de rendement lumineux.
(KO) 본 발명은 시야각 제어 가능한 디스플레이 장치에 관한 것이다. 상기 시야각 제어 가능한 디스플레이 장치는, 디스플레이 패널; 입사광의 편광 방향을 스위칭시킬 수 있도록 구성되어 상기 디스플레이 패널의 전면에 탑재된 편광스위칭부; 및 입사된 광의 편광 방향에 따라 프리즘 기능의 온/오프가 조절되도록 구성되어 상기 편광스위칭부의 전면에 탑재된 편광 의존성 프리즘 어레이 필름;를 구비하여, 디스플레이 패널의 시야각 분포를 제어할 수 있도록 한다. 상기 디스풀레이 장치는, 입사광의 편광 방향에 따라 편광 의존성 프리즘 어레이 필름의 프리즘 기능이 온(ON) 또는 오프(OFF)되면, 프리즘 기능의 온/오프에 따라 디스플레이 패널을 구성하는 지향성 백라이트 유닛의 시야각에 따른 좁은 시야각 모드로 동작하거나, 편광 의존성 프리즘 어레이 필름에 의해 광 시야각 모드로 동작하게 된다. 본 발명에 따른 시야각 제어 가능한 디스플레이 장치는 지향성 BLU를 포함한 LC 패널 또는 OLED 패널과 같은 디스플레이 패널의 전면에 편광 의존성 프리즘 어레이 필름을 적층함으로써, 광 효율의 손실없이 디스플레이 패널의 시야각 분포를 제어할 수 있게 된다.
