Title: HOST-GROUP-CONTAINING POLYMERIZABLE MONOMER, POLYMER MATERIAL, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND CLATHRATE COMPOUND AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Abstract:
Provided are: a host-group-containing polymerizable monomer that can be used as a raw material for producing a polymer material having a high degree of freedom in material design and exceptional toughness and strength; a polymer material produced using the host-group-containing polymerizable monomer; and a method for producing the polymer material. This host-group-containing polymerizable monomer is such that the host group is a monovalent group in which a single hydrogen atom or hydroxyl group has been removed from a cyclodextrin derivative. The cyclodextrin derivative has a structure in which a hydrogen atom of at least one hydroxyl group having cyclodextrin is substituted with at least one group selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon groups, acyl groups, and -CONHR (where R is a methyl group or an ethyl group).
