Title: JELLYFISH COLLECTING DEVICE AND OFFSHORE JELLYFISH PROCESSING SYSTEM USING SAME
Abstract:
Provided is a jellyfish collecting device in which clogging due to the adhesion of jellyfish is prevented even in a high-flow-speed water intake port, and the jellyfish are guided at a large angle with respect to the flow such that facility dimensions can be reduced, and which causes less damage to the jellyfish. This jellyfish collecting device 10 is provided with: a bottom-surface jellyfish guiding part 22 which is formed in an approximately trapezoidal shape, wherein a sea bottom region upstream of a water intake port 1 forms the bottom edge on the side of the long edge, and the bottom edge on the side of the short edge is connected to a lower edge of an opening of a jellyfish collecting tank 42 installed near the sea surface at the downstream side; and two side-surface jellyfish guiding parts 24 respectively contacting both legs of the bottom-surface jellyfish guiding part and formed nearly vertically in an approximately parallelogram shape, wherein the downstream-side edge is connected to the side edge corresponding to the opening of the jellyfish collecting tank. Each of the jellyfish guiding parts is formed as a slit-shaped structure in which rods or pipes made of a metal or hard resin material and having approximately circular cross-sectional contours are arranged, at intervals preventing the escape of jellyfish to be collected, in a slit shape to enable a prescribed water intake flow rate to be attained.
