Title: PROTEIN CRYSTALLIZATION METHOD AND CRYSTALLIZATION DEVICE
Abstract:
Provided are: an economically superior protein crystallization method that can efficiently identify conditions for crystallization using a small amount of a protein; and a crystallization device used in this method. According to the present invention, a part of a transparent sealed vessel 1 is formed of a molecular weight cut-off semipermeable membrane 2 that lets a precipitating agent pass through but blocks a protein. The transparent sealed vessel is filled with a solution of the protein, and then a precipitating agent solution, obtained by changing the concentration and/or pH of the precipitating agent, is supplied to the semipermeable membrane 2 in a continuous manner so that the protein is crystallized by the precipitating agent that permeates into the sealed vessel 1 through the semipermeable membrane 2.
