Abstract:
(EN) An improved nasal filter to remove particles below 10 µm in size has been fabricated by utilizing multilayered molecularly functionalized nanofibres. The nasal filter described here comprises of a substrate and two layers of surface functionalized nanofibres deposited on the substrate. Multilayer nasal filter composition comprises, in the direction of flow, a) an external substrate layer made of spun-bonded nonwoven polymer mat which faces outside of nose, b) the first intermediate layer made of nanofibres with molecularly induced positive charge, c) the second intermediate layer made of nanofibres with molecularly induced negative charge and d)an internal substrate layer made of spun-bonded nonwoven polymer mat which faces inside the nose. The multilayer nasal filter improves the quality of inhaled air with a filtration efficiency of 99 % for PM2.5.
(FR) L'invention concerne un filtre nasal amélioré permettant d'éliminer les particules de taille inférieure à 10 µm qui a été fabriqué en utilisant des nanofibres multicouche fonctionnalisées de manière moléculaire. Le filtre nasal de l'invention comprend un substrat et deux couches de nanofibres fonctionnalisées en surface déposées sur le substrat. La composition de filtre nasal multicouche comprend, dans la direction d'écoulement, a) une couche de substrat externe constituée d'un mat en polymère non-tissé filé-lié qui fait face à l'extérieur du nez, b) la première couche intermédiaire constituée de nanofibres comportant une charge positive induite de manière moléculaire, c) la seconde couche intermédiaire constituée de nanofibres comportant une charge négative induite de manière moléculaire et d) une couche de substrat interne constituée d'un mat en polymère non-tissé filé-lié qui fait face à l'intérieur du nez. Le filtre nasal multicouche améliore la qualité de l'air inhalé avec une efficacité de filtration de 99 % PM2.5.
