Abstract:
(EN) A method of removal and recovery of hexavalent chromium from effluents by passive-active biological process is described. The method may include adsorption of the hexavalent chromium by passive biological process of removal of hexavalent chromium from effluents by adsorbing the hexavalent chromium using a treated and conditioned Limonia acidissima biomass particles. The method may further include conducting bioreduction of the leftover chromium present in the effluent in low concentration by using active bacterial culture for complete removal of hexavalent chromium. The treated and conditioned Limonia acidissima biomass particles having the adsorbed hexavalent chromium may be burnt in a furnace at 400 °C to obtain an ash containing hexavalent chromium. The ash obtained may be mixed with water and filtered to obtain a hexavalent chromium solution which could be recycled and reused.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé d'élimination et de récupération de chrome hexavalent à partir d'effluents par un processus biologique passif-actif. Le procédé peut comprendre l'adsorption du chrome hexavalent par un processus biologique passif d'élimination du chrome hexavalent à partir d'effluents par adsorption du chrome hexavalent à l'aide de particules de biomasse de Limonia acidissima traitée et conditionnée. Le procédé peut en outre comprendre la réalisation d'une bioréduction du chrome résiduel présent dans l'effluent en faible concentration en utilisant une culture bactérienne active pour l'élimination complète du chrome hexavalent. Les particules de biomasse de Limonia acidissima traitée et conditionnée ayant le chrome hexavalent adsorbé peuvent être brûlées dans un four à 400 °C pour obtenir des cendres contenant du chrome hexavalent. Les cendres obtenues peuvent être mélangées avec de l'eau et filtrées pour obtenir une solution de chrome hexavalent qui peut être recyclée et réutilisée.
