Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a device and a method for the connection and linear separation of two elements (1, 2), such as the two stages of a spacecraft, consisting in using a tube (4) containing a pyrogenic-type material (5) and a glue (3) arranged around the tube (4), particularly in contact with the elements (1, 2). The pyrotechnic triggering of the pyrogenic material (5) causes heating and the melting or carbonisation of the glue (3) and the separation of the two elements (1 and 2).
(FR) Un dispositif et un procédé de liaison et de séparation linéaire de deux éléments (1, 2), tels que les deux étages d'un engin spatial, consistent à utiliser un tube (4) contenant un matériau de type pyrogène (5) et une colle (3), disposée autour du tube (4), notamment en contact avec les éléments (1, 2). Le déclenchement pyrotechnique du matériau pyrogène (5) provoque réchauffement et la fusion ou carbonisation de la colle (3) et la séparation des deux éléments (1 et 2).
