Abstract:
The invention relates to an optoelectronic component (100) comprising a semiconductor layer sequence (1) with an active region emitting radiation during operation at least over a main radiation emission surface (11), and a self-supporting conversion element (2) arranged in the beam path of the semiconductor layer sequence (1), the self-supporting conversion element (2) comprising a substrate (21) followed by a first layer (22), the first layer (22) comprising at least one conversion material (222) embedded in a matrix material (221), the matrix material (221) comprising at least one condensed sol-gel material, the condensed sol-gel material representing between 10 and 70 vol.% of the first layer (22), and the substrate (21) being free of the sol-gel material and the conversion material (222) and being used for the mechanical stabilisation of the first layer (22).
