Title: BATTERY MODULE
Abstract:
Disclosed is a battery module, comprising: a lower housing; a cell pack accommodated in the lower housing, the cell pack comprising a plurality of cells; and a top cover sealedly connected to the lower housing, and comprising upper plastic, lower plastic, and a metal cover plate located between the upper plastic and the lower plastic, wherein the top cover is provided with an explosion-proof valve and a module output electrode electrically connected to the cell pack. Compared with the prior art, the battery module of the present invention has the following advantages: 1) by providing safety structures, such as an overturn piece and the explosion-proof valve, on the top cover, and removing the safety structures on the upper covers of single cells, the process can be simplified, the costs can reduced, and the safety performance and energy density can be improved; 2) the metal top cover is sealedly connected to the metal lower housing, so that the requirement for protection class IP67 can be satisfied, and the cells and the module can be integrated; 3) by packaging the cells with an electrolyte-resistant nonmetal insulating material, the costs can be reduced, the sealing reliability of the module can be improved, the requirement for insulation and voltage resistance can be satisfied, and the water vapor barrier property can be enhanced.
