Abstract
(EN) A converter plate includes an array of optical fibers arranged axially parallel to each other. The optical fibers convert light from a light-emitting diode entering the optical fibers from one end of the array of optical fibers to light of a different wavelength exiting the fibers from another end of the array of optical fibers. The optical properties of some of the optical fibers differ from the optical properties of others of the optical fibers such that the light exiting the some of the optical fibers has a wavelength different from that of the light exiting the others of the optical fibers. The converter plate is manufactured by combining the optical fibers into a bundle, the optical fibers arranged axially parallel to each other, and drawing the fibers to attenuate into a secondary fiber having a reduced cross section. The secondary fiber is wafered into a converter plate.
(FR) L'invention concerne une plaque de convertisseur qui comprend un réseau de fibres optiques disposées parallèlement entre elles axialement. Les fibres optiques convertissent la lumière provenant d'une diode électroluminescente entrant dans les fibres optiques depuis une extrémité du réseau de fibres optiques en une lumière d'une longueur d'onde différente sortant des fibres à partir d'une autre extrémité du réseau de fibres optiques. Les propriétés optiques de certaines des fibres optiques diffèrent des propriétés optiques des autres fibres optiques de telle sorte que la lumière sortant de certaines des fibres optiques a une longueur d'onde différente de celle de la lumière sortant des autres fibres optiques. La plaque de convertisseur est fabriquée en combinant les fibres optiques en un faisceau, les fibres optiques étant agencées axialement de manière parallèle entre elles, et en tirant sur les fibres pour les atténuer en une fibre secondaire ayant une section transversale réduite. La fibre secondaire est gaufrée en une plaque de convertisseur.
