Provided are a graphite-containing refractory article which has a higher flexural strength and fracture energy than those of conventional refractory articles, and a method for manufacturing the refractory article. This graphite-containing refractory article has a graphite content ranging from 1 mass% to 80 mass%, and has disposed therein a carbon fiber bundle that has a length of 100 mm or more and that is obtained by bundling 1,000-300,000 strands of a carbon fiber having a fiber diameter ranging from 1 μm/strand to 45 μm/ strand.

L'invention concerne un article réfractaire contenant du graphite qui présente une résistance à la flexion et une énergie de fracture supérieures à celles des articles réfractaires classiques, et un procédé de fabrication dudit article réfractaire. Ledit article réfractaire contenant du graphite a une teneur en graphite comprise entre 1 % en masse et 80 % en masse, et un faisceau de fibres de carbone y est disposé qui a une longueur de 100 mm ou plus et qui est obtenu en groupant 1 000 à 300 000 brins d'une fibre de carbone d'un diamètre de fibre compris entre 1 µm/brin et 45 µm/brin.

従来の耐火物よりも曲げ強度および破壊エネルギーが高い黒鉛含有耐火物およびその耐火物の製造方法を提供する。 黒鉛の含有量が1質量%以上80質量%以下の範囲内である黒鉛含有耐火物であって、繊維径が1μm/本以上45μm/本以下の範囲内である炭素繊維を1000本以上300000本以下の範囲内で束ねた、長さ100mm以上の炭素繊維束が内部に配置されている。
