Abstract
(EN) Disclosed are a sintered nuclear fuel pellet (10), a fuel rod, a fuel assembly and a method of manufacturing the nuclear fuel pellet. The pellet comprises a matrix (20) of UO2 and particles (21) dispersed in the matrix. The particles comprises a uranium-containing material. Each of the particles is encapsulated by a metallic coating. The uranium-containing material has a uranium density that is higher than the uranium density of UO2. The metallic coating consists of at least one metal chosen from the group of Mo, W, Cr, V and Nb.
(FR) L'invention concerne une pastille de combustible nucléaire fritté (10), une barre de combustible, un ensemble de combustible et un procédé de fabrication de la pastille de combustible nucléaire. La pastille comprend une matrice (20) d'UO2 et des particules (21) dispersées dans la matrice. Les particules comprennent un matériau contenant de l'uranium. Chacune des particules est encapsulée par un revêtement métallique. Le matériau contenant de l'uranium a une densité d'uranium qui est supérieure à la densité d'uranium de l'UO2. Le revêtement métallique est constitué d'au moins un métal choisi dans le groupe constitué par Mo, W, Cr, V et Nb.
