Provided are: a method for culturing a microorganism in which the expressions of a gene for coding β-ketoacyl-ACP synthase and a gene for coding aliphatic acyl-CoA reductase are promoted, and producing long chain aliphatic alcohol; a method for imparting a microorganism with the ability to produce long chain aliphatic alcohol, wherein the method promotes, in the cells of the microorganism, the expressions of a gene for coding β-ketoacyl-ACP synthase and a gene for coding aliphatic acyl-CoA reductase; and a microorganism transformant in which the expressions of a gene for coding β-ketoacyl-ACP synthase and a gene for coding aliphatic acyl-CoA reductase are promoted.

L'invention concerne : un procédé de culture d'un micro-organisme dans lequel les expressions d'un gène pour coder une β-cétoacyl-ACP synthase et d'un gène pour coder une acyl-CoA réductase aliphatique sont favorisées, et de production d'un alcool aliphatique à longue chaîne ; un procédé permettant de conférer à un micro-organisme la capacité de produire un alcool aliphatique à longue chaîne, le procédé favorisant, dans les cellules du micro-organisme, les expressions d'un gène pour coder une β-cétoacyl-ACP synthase et d'un gène pour coder une acyl-CoA réductase aliphatique ; et un transformant de micro-organisme dans lequel les expressions d'un gène pour coder une β-cétoacyl-ACP synthase et d'un gène pour coder une acyl-CoA réductase aliphatique sont favorisées.
