Title: ELECTRODE FOR ALUMINIUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
Abstract:
This electrode for an aluminium electrolytic capacitor is produced by performing: a hydration step in which an aluminium electrode is brought into contact with a hydration treatment solution having a temperature in the range of 78-92˚C, to form a hydration coating on the aluminium electrode; and a chemical conversion step in which chemical conversion is performed at a chemical conversion voltage of 400 V or higher in a chemical conversion solution having a temperature in the range of 58-78˚C, to form a chemical conversion coating on the aluminium electrode. The amount of the hydration coating is optimized when producing the electrode for an aluminium electrolytic capacitor. In this electrode for an aluminium electrolytic capacitor, the number of holes exposed in a cut surface when the chemical conversion coating is cut is 150 per µm2 or lower. Accordingly, the electrode for an aluminium electrolytic capacitor exhibits high water resistance.
