Abstract:
A blind spot monitoring method; a radar sensor (2) being installed at an inner part of a license plate frame body (1) or rear view mirror of a vehicle to assist in monitoring information at a blind spot of the rear view mirror of the vehicle, the radar sensor (2) detecting in real time whether a moving object is present in the blind spot; when a moving object is detected, automatically determining the distance between the moving object and the vehicle as well as the driving speed of the vehicle, and when the distance is shorter than a warning distance or the speed is greater than a warning speed, then sending an abnormality signal to a primary controller (4) of the vehicle by means of a primary control module (31), the primary controller (4) of the vehicle controlling an indicator (5) to issue an alarm so as to alert a driver to pay attention to driving safety. Also disclosed are a license plate frame device and a rear view mirror for use in blind spot monitoring, which use said method. The entire monitoring process is fast and simple, preventing collision accidents when a vehicle changes lanes or makes a turn, and making driving more safe; in addition, the entire blind spot monitoring device is provided at the inner part of the license plate frame or the rear view mirror without affecting the aesthetics of the vehicle, while being easy to install and use.
