Abstract:
Disclosed are a quantum rod composition, a quantum rod polarizer and a manufacturing method therefor. The quantum rod composition comprises: a photo-aligning agent modification quantum rod, a polymerizable monomer and a solvent; the photo-aligning agent modification quantum rod may be directionally aligned under the irradiation of a linearly polarized light, and the polymerizable monomer may form a polymer network under the irradiation of an ultraviolet (UV) light, thereby anchoring the photo-aligning agent modification quantum rod and fixing the alignment direction thereof. The manufacturing method for the quantum rod polarizer uses said quantum rod composition to prepare the quantum rod polarizer, the process being simple; in the obtained quantum rod polarizer, the alignment direction of the photo-aligning agent modification quantum rod is consistent, the direction is fixed, and the polarization performance thereof is stable. The quantum rod polarizer has stable polarization performance, may be used in a liquid crystal display device, may improve light source utilization rate and obtain light having a higher purity, thereby achieving a high color gamut and low power consumption of a color display.
