Abstract:
A backlight assembly and a liquid crystal display panel comprising a display panel (9) and the backlight assembly. The backlight assembly comprises optical modules (2) disposed on a back plate (1); each optical module (2) comprises a light bar (3), a light guide plate (4), and a reflector plate (5) disposed at the lower end of the light guide plate (4); at least two sets of optical modules (2) are provided; each set of optical module (2) further comprises a first base (6) bearing the light guide plate (4) and the reflector plate (5) of an adjacent set of optical modules (2); the light bar (3) is disposed on the side of the first base (6) opposite to a side edge of the light guide plate (4); the first base (6) is provided with an inclined portion (61) obliquely extending towards the light guide plate (4); the upper end face of the inclined portion (61) is an inclined surface, a reflecting layer (62) used for reflecting light emitted by the light bars (2) of the adjacent set of optical modules (2) is provided on the inclined surface; each optical module (2) is covered with an optical film set (7); and the reflecting surface of the reflecting layer (62) faces toward the optical film set (7). Compared with the prior art, partition control of a backlight source is achieved, thickness is reduced, and the problem of low brightness at the splice is also resolved.
