Title: DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING AIRCRAFT CONTROL SURFACES
Abstract:
A device (10) for adjusting the control surfaces (40) of an aircraft (50) is described, comprising an elongate structural body (20) formed by a base (201) arranged on a first end (22) and attached to the structure of the aircraft (50) and by an adjustment unit (30) arranged on a second end (23) positioned beside the control surfaces (40), the adjustment unit (30) having at least one dial indicator (31) that can be positioned between a first alignment position (311) and a second positioning position (312) and at least one reference ruler (32) that is arranged beside the at least one dial indicator (31) and can be positioned between a first initial position (321) and a final position (322). A method for adjusting aircraft control surfaces is also described, comprising the following steps: (i) attachment of an adjustment device (10) to an upper skin surface of the wing (50) of the aircraft, said adjustment device (10) comprising an adjustment unit (30) formed by at least one dial indicator (31) and at least one reference ruler (32), (ii) alignment of the dial indicator (31) in a first alignment position (311) determining a zero position of the indicator and positioning of the reference ruler (32) in an initial position (321) determining a zero position of the ruler, (iii) positioning of the reference ruler (32) in a final position (322) and positioning of the dial indicator in a second positioning position (312) to position the control surface (40) adjusted in relation to the wing (50) of the aircraft.
