Abstract:
(EN) Methods and apparatus for communicating alert notifications using discrete input channels are described. An apparatus includes a field device to control a process of a process plant. The field device has a digital valve controller including a process parameter monitor to monitor a process parameter of the field device and an alarm determiner to detect an error condition associated with the process parameter. The alarm determiner generates an alarm notification associated with the error condition of the process parameter. The digital valve controller includes an alarm status assignor to assign a status notification for equipment associated with the process parameter detected by the alarm determiner to be in the error condition and a discrete output channel. The apparatus includes a host device having a discrete input channel directly coupled to the discrete output channel to receive the alarm notification and the status notification from the digital valve controller. The host device is to be communicatively coupled to a control room of a process plant.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés et un appareil de communication de notifications d'alerte utilisant des canaux discrets d'entrée. Un appareil comprend un dispositif de terrain permettant de commander un processus d'une installation de traitement. Le dispositif de terrain comprend un dispositif de commande de soupape numérique comprenant un moniteur de paramètres de processus permettant de surveiller un paramètre de processus du dispositif de terrain et un dispositif de détermination d'alarme permettant de détecter une condition d'erreur associée au paramètre de processus. Le dispositif de détermination d'alarme génère une notification d'alarme associée à la condition d'erreur du paramètre de processus. Le dispositif de commande de soupape numérique comprend un dispositif d'attribution d'état d'alarme permettant d'attribuer une notification d'état pour qu'un équipement associé au paramètre de processus détecté par le dispositif de détermination d'alarme se trouve dans la condition d'erreur et dans un canal discret de sortie. L'appareil comprend un dispositif hôte contenant un canal discret d'entrée directement couplé au canal discret de sortie pour recevoir la notification d'alarme et la notification d'état provenant du dispositif de commande de soupape numérique.
