Abstract:
(EN) A method of reworking lithium containing ion exchanged glass articles is provided. The method includes a reverse ion exchange process that returns the glass article to approximately the composition of the glass from which the glass article was produced, before being subjected to ion exchange. The reworked glass articles exhibit a K2O concentration profile comprising a portion wherein a K2O concentration increases to a local K2O concentration maximum.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de retravailler des articles en verre à échange d'ions contenant du lithium. Le procédé comprend un processus d'échange d'ions inverse qui ramène l'article en verre approximativement à la composition du verre à partir duquel l'article en verre a été produit, avant d'être soumis à un échange d'ions. Les articles en verre retravaillé présentent un profil de concentration de K2O comprenant une partie dans laquelle une concentration de K2O augmente jusqu'à un maximum de concentration locale de K2O.
