Abstract
(EN) The present disclosure pertains to: a display control device and method, and a program which make it possible to more reliably control a display according to a mental state of a user. In a display system, an outward image is input from an image sensor disposed outward. An inward image (binocular image) is input from an image sensor disposed inward. In addition, from the outward image, a subject is recognized and the brightness of the outside (environmental light) with respect to the subject is detected. In addition, since a partial brightness of the image can also be acquired, an active liquid crystal shutter can be deflected according to dazzle from a viewing position. Thus, when the mental state of a user is determined according to the pupil size, the brightness of external light can be excluded. The present disclosure can be applied to a display system including, for example, a display device having a wearable shape.
