Provided are: an endoscope system capable of preventing the occurrence of electromagnetic noise without affecting an image of an observation target; and a method for operating the same. This endoscope system (10) is provided with at least any one among a processor device (16) detachable from an endoscope (12) and a light source device (14) detachable from the endoscope (12). When the endoscope (12) is installed on the processor device (16) or the light source device (14), the processor device (16) or the light source device (14) executes a request sequence in which a request signal that requests initiation of the execution of a digital image signal encoding process is transmitted to the endoscope (12).

La présente invention concerne : un système d'endoscope capable d'empêcher l'apparition d'un bruit électromagnétique sans affecter une image d'une cible d'observation; et un procédé de fonctionnement de celui-ci. Ce système d'endoscope (10) est pourvu d'au moins l'un quelconque parmi un dispositif de processeur (16) détachable d'un endoscope (12) et un dispositif de source de lumière (14) détachable de l'endoscope (12). Lorsque l'endoscope (12) est installé sur le dispositif de processeur (16) ou le dispositif de source de lumière (14), le dispositif de processeur (16) ou le dispositif de source de lumière (14) exécute une séquence de demande dans laquelle un signal de demande qui demande l'initiation de l'exécution d'un processus de codage de signal d'image numérique est transmis à l'endoscope (12).
