Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a movement assistance system in which map information with which a moving body can autonomously move can be easily output even if the position of an obstacle is constantly changing. [Solution] A movement assistance system in which a movement assistance terminal comprises: an image/distance measurement information acquisition means that acquires an image of an image-pickup target in the periphery of a moving body and distance information from the moving body to the image-pickup target; a positional information acquisition means that acquires positional information of the moving body in synchronization with the image/distance measurement information acquisition means; and a terminal-side communication means that transmits, to a movement assistance device, moving body peripheral information including the image of the image-pickup target, the distance information from the moving body to the image-pickup target, and the positional information of the moving body. The movement assistance device comprises: a storage means that stores moving body peripheral information received in the past from the movement assistance terminal; and a map information update means that updates, on the basis of the past moving body peripheral information stored in the storage means and the moving body peripheral information received from the movement assistance terminal, map information indicating a movable region in which the moving body can move.
