Abstract:
(EN) A deployable structure includes a plurality of interconnected elongated support members, deployed from a stowed state to an expanded state in which the support members are arranged in a ring. Each support member is provided with a connector (28) for longitudinal movement during deployment with respect to the support member. An actuating support member (27) has a drive member (50) for longitudinal movement with respect to the actuating support member, and an electromagnetic device arranged to drive the drive member in one direction with respect to the actuating support member. The drive member is connected to the connector by a lost motion connector, thus the connector is capable of moving in said one direction even if the drive member is not moved by the electromechanical device.
(FR) Une structure déployable comprend une pluralité d'éléments de support allongés interconnectés, déployés d'un état replié à un état déployé dans lequel les éléments de support sont agencés en un anneau. Chaque élément de support est pourvu d'un connecteur (28) pour un mouvement longitudinal pendant le déploiement par rapport à l'élément de support. Un élément de support d'actionnement (27) a un élément d'entraînement (50) pour un mouvement longitudinal par rapport à l'élément de support d'actionnement, et un dispositif électromagnétique agencé pour entraîner l'élément d'entraînement dans une direction par rapport à l'élément de support d'actionnement. L'élément d'entraînement est relié au connecteur par un connecteur à mouvement perdu, ce qui permet au connecteur de se déplacer dans ladite direction même si l'élément d'entraînement n'est pas déplacé par le dispositif électromécanique.
