A training apparatus for evaluating sequences of movements of a user comprises a mirror (14) that has a front side (V) and a back side, at least one display apparatus that is provided on the back side of the mirror (14), at least one sensor (16) that is directed onto the front side (V) and a control unit that is connected to the output apparatus and the at least one sensor (16) so as to transfer information. The at least one display apparatus is arranged in such a way that it is readable through the mirror (14) from the training area. The control unit is configured to receive data from the at least one sensor (16) and to actuate the output apparatus on the basis of the data for the purposes of correcting or confirming the sequences of movements of the user. The sensor (16) is a time-of-fight camera, a radar sensor, an infrared sensor, an ultrasonic sensor and/or a combination of a camera and an infrared sensor.
