Abstract:
(EN) A method of erasing data from a data storage apparatus comprising a memory, the method comprises writing a known data pattern to a plurality of known memory locations of the data storage apparatus, causing the data storage apparatus to perform a data erasure procedure, reading data stored at the known memory locations after completion of the data erasure procedure, comparing the read data and the data of the known data pattern, and determining a verification result based at least in part on the result of the comparison between the read data and the data of the known data pattern.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé d'effacement de données à partir d'un appareil de stockage de données comprenant une mémoire, le procédé consiste à écrire un motif de données connu dans une pluralité d'emplacements de mémoire connus de l'appareil de stockage de données, à amener l'appareil de stockage de données à effectuer une procédure d'effacement de données, à lire des données stockées au niveau des emplacements de mémoire connus après achèvement de la procédure d'effacement de données, à comparer les données de lecture et les données du motif de données connu et à déterminer un résultat de vérification sur la base, au moins en partie, du résultat de la comparaison entre les données lues et les données du motif de données connu.
